Boardly Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Boardly ("the Service"), operated by GTM Development Johansen (org. no. 937103794), Tromsø, Norway ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. Last updated 2026-08-09.

1. The Service

Boardly is booking and management software for boarding, daycare and grooming businesses ("you", "the kennel"). We provide the software; you run your business and are responsible for the services you sell to your customers.

2. Your account

You must give accurate details, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for everything done under your account and by your staff. You must be authorised to act for your business.

3. Payments to you

Card payments from your customers are processed through your own Stripe account, which you connect to Boardly. Those funds are yours and settle to your account. Boardly does not take a percentage of your customers' payments. Stripe's own fees and terms apply to you directly.

4. Your subscription

Your Boardly subscription is billed as described at sign-up. Fees are exclusive of tax unless stated. We may change fees on reasonable notice; changes do not affect the period already paid.

5. Acceptable use

You will not use the Service unlawfully, upload content you have no right to, attempt to breach security or other customers' data, or resell the Service without our agreement.

6. Data protection

For personal data about your customers, you are the data controller and we act as your data processor. We process that data only to provide the Service, keep it isolated to your account, and apply appropriate security. Our processing terms are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and acts as our data processing agreement with you.

7. Availability

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may perform maintenance and will take reasonable care to limit disruption. We keep daily backups of your data.

8. Content and cloning

If you ask us to build your website from an existing site, you confirm you own or are licensed to use that content. You are responsible for the accuracy of prices, services and policies shown to your customers.

9. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or non-payment. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period, after which we may delete it.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use means acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your own country. Questions: contact us through the app.
